Job summary

EECU is seeking a System Security Administrator II to support the security, availability, and integrity of our technology environment. This hands-on role performs cybersecurity administration, security monitoring, vulnerability management, patch administration, incident response support, and security control documentation.

Based in Fort Worth, TX, this hybrid role partners with IT Operations, Information Security, and other stakeholders to identify and address cybersecurity risks while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/IT/Cybersecurity or related field.
• 3–5 years of IT/cybersecurity experience with a focus on security operations.
• Experience with Windows server environments, Active Directory, patching, vulnerability remediation, and security ticketing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security platforms (SIEM, endpoint protection, email security, vulnerability mgmt, threat-detection).
• Review alerts, logs, and events to identify risks or issues.
• Investigate and document security events and escalate as needed.
• Conduct vulnerability scans across servers, endpoints, network devices, cloud services, OSS and apps.
• Plan and validate OS, app, firmware, and security updates; ensure patch compliance.
