Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a Security Systems Infrastructure Engineer to support federal ESS projects on a hybrid schedule with Rockville, MD office visits and DMV-area sites as needed. You will build and maintain Windows servers, AD DS, DNS, DHCP, and security configurations for enterprise security systems while coordinating with network engineers.

The role emphasizes the deployment and hardening of secure server environments, documentation of network diagrams, and collaboration in technical design

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge with Windows Server administration, network integration, and security system infrastructure.
• Experience deploying and supporting AD DS, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, and domain controllers.
• Experience with Windows Server 2022/2025 and Hyper-V environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot network/server hardware/software issues and coordinate with network engineers.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, troubleshoot and support Windows servers and services for enterprise ESS.
• Install, configure and administer AD DS and domain controllers.
• Configure DNS, DHCP, GPOs, and user/service accounts.
• Manage domain time services, SQL Server instances, and firewall rules.
• Support secure server configurations and network access control.
• Interface with end users to gather requirements for security system environments.
• Create networked server documentation and asset management records.
• Participate in design reviews and implementation planning.
