Job summary

Southcoast Health System, Inc. seeks an Engineer-Security II to design and implement security systems within a large health network. You will lead security engineering tasks and guide architecture decisions to protect confidential data across multiple hospitals and clinics.

The role supports a hybrid work schedule with a strong emphasis on security controls, incident response, and regulatory alignment. The successful candidate will have CISSP and extensive firewall/IDS experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent education and experience.
• Strong security background in network/systems/physical security, authentication, authorization and usability.
• Minimum 7 years of experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, End-Point Protection, Information Security Incident Management Systems.
• SASE and ZTNA experience with products such as NetSkope, Zscaler, CATO.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and recommend integrated security system solutions to protect data and systems.
• Manage systems engineering tasks for security projects.
• Act as the overall technical lead for complex security projects.
