Job summary

Vantor Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer and Product Owner to define, build, and evolve the Flight Operations Software (FOS) for spacecraft command and telemetry.

This hybrid role spans ground systems, spacecraft, mission operations, and software engineering, requiring MBSE, architectural tradeoffs, and clear API definitions. You will own the backlog, translate needs into epics and user stories, collaborate with software engineers through design, integration, and deployment, and drive decisions

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance.
• 5+ years in aerospace or complex systems.
• Experience MBSE to define architectures and interfaces.
• Experience with SOA or distributed systems.
• Experience translating needs into Epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Strong cross-team coordination and communication.

Responsibilities

• Own FOS systems engineering and product ownership activities.
• Translate needs into Epics, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria.
• Prioritize the FOS backlog balancing mission needs and architecture.
• Develop MBSE models and system architectures.
• Define APIs and interfaces between FOS and ground systems.
• Collaborate with engineers across design, integration, verification, deployment.
• Identify risks early and drive cross-functional resolution.
• Support integration and verification across interfaces.
• Contribute to enterprise architecture and long-term roadmap.
