Job summary

Platte Valley Companies is seeking a Systems Administrator to manage and optimize IT systems and server infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. You will monitor health, troubleshoot issues, and implement updates while collaborating with IT and security teams to enforce best practices.

The role requires experience with Microsoft 365 Administration and Entra AD, plus strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• IT and system administration certifications in Microsoft, VMware, or related fields is a plus.
• Must be capable of maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Ability to travel with some overnight travel is required.
• Ability to adjust to flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Microsoft 365 Administration and/or Entra AD required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with others to resolve or implement new hardware and software for servers and computers.
• Assist with designing, installing, administering and optimizing company servers and related components.
• Respond to IT system related tickets and calls.
• Independently implement and maintain servers and cloud systems.
• Ensure the availability of client/server applications.
• Plan and perform service updates and patches.
• Maintain and monitor system configurations to ensure data integrity.
• Assist with documentation of hardware and system configurations.
• Coordinate with IT service providers and vendors for appropriate service levels.
• Oversee physical and virtual security, integrity and safety of company technology.
• Lead project tasks (checklists, scheduling, documentation).
• Other duties as assigned
