Job summary

Uponor is seeking a Supplier Development Engineer in Minnesota to collaborate with Supply Chain and cross-functional teams, drive supplier performance, and support new product development initiatives. The role combines quality and procurement responsibilities within a hybrid work model.

The ideal candidate has 0–3 years of experience in manufacturing quality and supplier management, with strong analytical skills and knowledge of PPAP, 8D, and CpK/PpK analyses. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or equivalent.
• Experience in quality tools and methods (PPAP, 8D, Cpk/Ppk) and supplier quality.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Actively manage and monitor supplier performance and COPQ for new and existing suppliers.
• Implement, monitor and report metrics related to supplier development performance and quality per the supplier scorecard.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supplier strategies and drive improvements.
• Lead NPD-related supplier readiness and provide input on design, specs, and processes to ensure manufacturability.
• Assess new and prospective suppliers to support business needs.
• Oversee supplier onboarding/training and monitor performance against KPIs.
