Job summary

The Cason Group offers a 10-week Summer Sales Intern program in Columbia, SC or Charlotte, NC, with a 20-hour work week and a $15/hour pay rate. Interns will gain exposure to our Group Benefits, Financial Services, and Individual Medical divisions while developing essential sales and communication skills.

Interns collaborate with Sales Representatives, assist with sales-support tasks, and participate in mock presentations to practice professional communication and business development.

Qualifications

• This internship is designed for students who will be entering their junior or senior year in Fall 2027.
• Students currently enrolled pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Consulting, and/or related Business fields.
• Preference will be given to Risk Management/Insurance and Business majors.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy of project execution along with compliance of deadlines for a variety of deliverables.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer services skills as well as the ability to work well with others to secure their support and cooperation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook and Teams); knowledge of databases
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and positive company image.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and Communicate: collaborate with Sales Representatives to identify and execute sales-support functions, including setting appointments, running reports, creating spreadsheets, and completing various related projects; evaluate in-force insurance cases across all divisions and communicate additional opportunities for prospective sales
• Engage as a Team Player: provide support for Sales Representatives by performing a variety of behind-the-scenes functions that assist Reps in exceeding defined sales goals; participate in friendly workplace competitions to help move the organization forward through delivering mock sales presentations
