Job summary

Public Service Electric & Gas Co in New Jersey seeks a Substation Spare Parts Supervisor to support construction and maintenance of Inside Plant resources, including substations and transmission assets.

The role requires coordinating parts, tools, and equipment, supervising staff and contractors, and maintaining optimal inventory levels, with travel to various PSE&G locations as needed.

Occasional on-call duties and adherence to safety and compliance standards are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 2+ years experience in Supply Chain or substations; In lieu of degree, 5+ years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform supervisory duties in daily operations of the substation spare parts & equipment group.
• Supervise associates and contractors for acquisition and distribution of parts, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels for scheduled maintenance per business plans.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations for after-hours outages.
• Plan daily work schedules and adapt to failures and emergencies.
• Train and coach employees on safety and efficiency.
