Job summary

PSEG, operating as Public Service Electric & Gas Co, is seeking a Substation Spare Parts Supervisor in New Jersey. The role focuses on supporting construction and maintenance of PSE&G Inside Plant resources, including substations and transmission switching stations.

Travel to various PSE&G locations may be required. As part of the team, you’ll oversee inventory levels, supervise parts procurement, and participate in a rotating on-call schedule for equipment failures outside normal hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; or HS diploma with 5+ years of related experience.
• Experience in supply chain and substation equipment.
• Knowledge of Substation & Switching station equipment.
• Familiar with internal and external audits.
• Proficient with MS Office (Access, Word, Teams, Excel).
• Proficient with SAP MM module and Ariba.
• Experience with OEM and aftermarket parts suppliers.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to collaborate across divisions and Asset Management.
• DOE 10 CFR 810 compliance required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the substation spare parts group.
• Oversee procurement and distribution of parts, tools, and equipment for maintenance.
• Maintain inventory levels per business plans and equipment needs.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for emergencies.
• Plan and adjust daily work schedules for failures and emergencies.
• Coach employees to ensure safe, productive performance.
• Oversee maintenance and repair of spare substation equipment.
• Provide performance feedback and actionable guidance.
• Lead cross-functional efforts to meet safety, reliability, and service metrics.
• Ensure compliance with PSE&G standards and internal controls.
• Perform monthly material master management tasks and storage protocols.
