Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is hiring a Substation Engineer in Richland, WA. You will participate in detailed electrical design and project management for high voltage substations, working in a team with other engineers and designers.

The role supports project conceptualization, planning, and execution, with opportunities to travel to client sites. A BS in engineering and MV power systems experience are required, and a hybrid work arrangement is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree required.
• 3+ years' experience in design of Medium Voltage Power Systems.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects.
• Experience tracking schedules and expenditures and client interface.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience reviewing design drawings.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in project conceptualization, work planning, and execution.
• Support challenging assignments including troubleshooting electrical engineering issues.
• Prepare reports that meet client requirements and S&L formats.
• Develop career through Communities of Practice and knowledge sharing.
• May travel to client sites as needed.
