Job summary

Sargent Lundy is seeking a Senior Substation Engineer to join a hybrid team in Richland, WA. You will contribute to the detailed electrical design and project management of high-voltage substations, taking active roles in planning, executing, and reporting on projects.

You will collaborate with engineers, prepare technical reports, review drawings, and participate in knowledge sharing through Communities of Practice. Some travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• This position requires a Bachelor of Science Engineering degree with ABET accreditation.
• 7+ years of experience in the design of medium voltage power systems.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects under budget and time constraints.
• Experience tracking project information, schedules, expenditures, and client interfaces.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience reviewing design drawings created by others.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in project conceptualization, work planning, and project execution.
• Work on challenging assignments to investigate and solve electrical engineering issues.
• Prepare reports presenting technical and project information clearly for clients and S&L formats.
• Engage in peer-learning and knowledge sharing via S&L’s Communities of Practice.
• May travel to client sites as needed.
