Job summary

Monroe Community College in Rochester, NY seeks a Coordinator II for Student Success & Strategic Initiatives to oversee academic intervention, provide advising, and support data‑driven initiatives across the college.

This role partners with the Associate Vice President and SSSI teams, requires occasional evenings and Saturdays, trains faculty, maintains early alert workflows, and advances persistence, retention, and completion efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required.
• Master's degree preferred (education, higher education, counseling, or related field).
• Experience working with students in a higher education setting is required.
• Ability to work collaboratively and foster a diverse environment.
• Experience with advising and program support is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee college-wide academic intervention and early alert systems.
• Provide academic advising and connect students to resources for special populations.
• Analyze data and develop reports/visualizations to support persistence and retention efforts.
• Collaborate with AVPs, deans, faculty, and staff on persistence and completion initiatives.
• Attend meetings, participate in college committees, and promote equity and inclusion.
