Job summary

Pennsylvania Institute of Technology is seeking a Financial Aid Advisor to process financial aid applications and counsel students and families on aid options. The role supports loan counseling and helps determine Title IV eligibility.

The candidate will ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of forms, with occasional involvement in orientations and outreach events. This position may be hybrid, requiring about three days in the office weekly, and emphasizes strong customer service,

Qualifications

• 1–3 years Financial Aid Experience
• 3–5 years customer service preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Familiarity with student loan programs
• Knowledge of processing aid for standard and non-standard terms preferred
• Knowledge of Anthology software is a plus

Responsibilities

• Process financial aid applications and counsel students and parents on all aspects of financial aid.
• Provide loan counseling and information on the application process and eligibility for state, federal, and institutional aid.
• Determine Title IV eligibility through approved needs analysis software.
• Review applications and statements for completeness and accuracy.
• Process forms per state/federal and institutional regulations.
• Update tracking system for new applications and missing documents.
• Participate in orientations, exit interviews, and open houses as needed.
