Job summary

Penn State University is seeking a Financial Aid Coordinator to develop expertise in federal, state, and institutional student aid regulations and policies. You will analyze aid programs, troubleshoot issues, and communicate with federal and state agencies to ensure accurate aid delivery.

You will also advise students and parents by email and phone, coordinating with the Bursar, Registrar, and Student Financial Services to resolve aid-related problems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination.
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and University student aid programs and policies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain expertise in federal, state, and institutional regulations and policies.
• Process and troubleshoot issues across federal, state, and university aid programs (grants, scholarships, work-study, loans).
• Review and monitor reports to adjust aid and communicate with federal/state agencies; provide counseling to students and parents via email/phone.
