You will evaluate eligibility, advise on funding options, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional rules. The role also supports budgeting and financial literacy education.

You will assist with FAFSA submissions, MPN processing, and coordinating with departments to facilitate student access to resources and success.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations.
• Experience with financial aid systems like Anthology/PowerFAIDS (preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work with diverse populations and explain aid concepts clearly.
• Ability to stay updated on changing regulations and institutional priorities.
• Must not be in default on Federal Student Loans.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one counseling on financial aid options and eligibility.
• Assist in FAFSA, Master Promissory Note, and other forms.
• Offer budgeting and loan repayment guidance to students/families.
• Evaluate and process financial aid applications per regulations.
• Determine eligibility and award grants, loans, work-study.
• Monitor documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Stay informed about federal/state regulations affecting aid.
• Prepare and submit required reports to agencies.
• Collaborate with other departments to support student success.
• Conduct workshops and outreach on financial aid opportunities.
• Maintain records using appropriate software and data entry.
• Generate reports and identify process improvements.
