Job summary

Caltrans is seeking a part-time Student Assistant to support the Senior Transportation Engineer with data collection, entry, verification and reporting. Responsibilities include maintaining project spreadsheets, researching information, and preparing charts, graphs and presentations.

Work is hybrid in California, with hours typically Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, and a requirement to enroll as a college student. This role is non-benefited and temporary through UEI.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA.
• Must be a college student enrolled during regular terms.
• Must be able to work in a learning capacity under supervision.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook and Word.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project data collection, entry and verification.
• Assist with data analysis and preparing reports/visuals.
• Provide administrative support and help compile information related to office programs.
