Job summary

Kennedy Jenks is seeking a licensed Civil Engineer with a structural focus to lead design and consulting services for water and wastewater infrastructure nationwide. You will drive high‑impact projects, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and ensure safety, constructability, and long‑term performance.

Hybrid work is offered with two days in the office per week. The role requires CA PE license (SE preferred), 8+ years of consulting experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural focus (ABET accredited).
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required in California; Licensed Structural Engineer (SE) preferred.
• 8+ years of consulting engineering experience focused on structural design.
• Strong knowledge of structural design principles, codes, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design: Develop concrete, steel, wood, masonry, and composite solutions for infrastructure projects.
• Prepare design deliverables: Produce structural calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Analyze infrastructure systems: Design and evaluate buildings, tanks, supports for seismic regions.
• Support construction-phase services: Field observations and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
• Collaborate across disciplines: Work with civil, mechanical, electrical, process, and construction professionals.
• Use digital design tools: BIM and analysis tools for planning through construction.
