Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional in the USA Southwest region to join a design team delivering intricate steel and concrete structures, including semiconductor and data center facilities. You will contribute to analysis, design, and coordination across disciplines, with growth opportunities and a strong emphasis on mentorship.

Applicants should have a solid foundation in structural engineering, EIT, and proficiency with design tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
• Minimum 2 years of structural engineering experience.
• Experience with US codes: IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform conventional aspects of structural engineering analysis and design under supervision.
• Plan and conduct work requiring judgement in evaluation and adaptation of techniques.
• Exercise sound engineering judgement and seek guidance when needed.
• Apply wind and seismic provisions of the building code to design.
• Check your own work and review peers for quality.
• Manage workload and own the assigned scope to meet schedule and budget.
• Develop design concepts and communicate structural requirements in documents.
