Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Entry Level Structural Engineer to join our team in January 2027. You will apply knowledge of materials, structural analysis, and design on oil and gas facilities, producing calculations, designs, and specifications.

Under a Structural Lead, you’ll guide designers and coordinate detailed design phases, with occasional travel for reviews. The role emphasizes learning and applying engineering judgment, with a hybrid schedule requiring in-office work 3 days per week

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
• Focus on analysis of steel structures and concrete foundations for new or existing facilities.
• Experience writing and supporting Structural Engineering calculations.

Responsibilities

• Create calculations, designs, and specifications for projects.
• Conduct structural analyses including wind, seismic, blast, and pressurization loads.
• Guide designers in structural engineering design and coordinate detailed design phases.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and solve structural engineering issues.
• Develop integrated structural designs and supporting calculations.
• Prepare technical specifications for structural materials.
• Review existing facilities to propose upgrades and present findings.
• Travel to client/vendor offices or plant sites for reviews and field verification.
