Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a skilled draftsman/designer to join our structural design team in Chicago on a hybrid schedule. You will develop structural layouts in 3-D models, collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams, and deliver drawings for steel and concrete supports and foundations.

You will mentor junior drafters, assist senior designers in field data gathering when needed, and use drafting tools to drive complete design deliverables while upholding quality and schedule goals.

Qualifications

• Essential drafting experience in steel and reinforced concrete layouts.
• Experience with 3D plant layout models and detailing.
• Ability to work with engineering teams across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural layout drawings in 3-D models.
• Design structural supports and foundations details.
• Coordinate detailed design phases for integrated models.
• Support designers and project teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Plan and execute structural design deliverables.
