Job summary

Vertex is seeking a strategic colleague to support the Disease Strategy Team Program Office in the Office of the CEO. The Strategy & Operations Director will partner with a DAE to drive high-profile initiatives and coordinate cross-functional efforts.

You will develop dashboards, present to executives, and lead after-action reviews to drive improvements in a fast-paced biopharma environment that prioritizes patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree is required; advanced degree preferred (MBA/PhD/MD).
• Typically 10+ years of progressive, relevant experience in strategy, project management, and leading multiple teams in healthcare/biopharma.

Responsibilities

• Partners with DAE to lead strategic projects and high-profile initiatives.
• Act as a liaison between cross-functional colleagues to align and coordinate initiatives; attend selected DAE meetings.
• Develop dashboards or other KPI reporting tools; monitor ROI and identify focus areas to accelerate plans.
• Drives the development of high-impact executive presentations.
• Leads after-action reviews of critical projects; provides recommendations for process improvements.
