Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc is seeking a Strategy & Operations Director to support the Disease Strategy Team in the Office of the CEO. You will partner with a Disease Area Executive to drive strategic initiatives, develop KPI dashboards, and craft high-impact executive presentations.

The role requires a track record in strategy and project management across cross-functional teams, with strong communication, data analysis, and a patient-centric mindset in a fast-paced biopharma environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Advanced degree (MBA, PhD, or MD) preferred
• Typically 10+ years of progressive strategy, project management, and organizing multiple teams in healthcare/biopharmaceuticals
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills
• Analytical with ability to derive insights from data and present visually
• Strong collaboration and ability to influence multiple stakeholders
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to patient-focused outcomes and Vertex values

Responsibilities

• Partner with DAE to lead strategic projects and high-profile initiatives
• Liaise across functions to align initiatives and attend select meetings on behalf of the DAE
• Develop dashboards or tools for KPI reporting and monitor ROI of initiatives
• Drive development of high-impact executive presentations
• Lead after-action reviews and propose process improvements
