Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University is seeking a Director for Recruitment & Strategic Engagement in the School of Pharmacy. The role leads student recruitment, manages the Ambassador program, and develops new pathways to broaden the applicant pool.

Responsibilities include coordinating Open Houses, college fairs, partner programs, and CRM management, with a strong emphasis on collaboration across Admissions, Communications, and PharTech systems. Hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination training and experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy education/practice.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Demonstrated experience fostering a welcoming student environment.
• Ability to travel evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment programming and partnerships to enhance student recruitment.
• Manage the Student Ambassador program, including training and event facilitation.
• Lead recruitment for the BS in pharmaceutical sciences and professional programs, including Open House events and college fairs.
• Collaborate on admissions processes and interview days with the Assoc Dean for Admissions & Strategic Engagement.
• Maintain CRM and website content for recruitment and admissions.
• Develop and manage pathway programs to expand the applicant pool.
• Serve on the Pharm.D. Admissions Committee and Scholarship/Awards Committee.
