Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University seeks an Assistant Director of Undergraduate Recruitment in the School of Business to advance all stages of the recruitment cycle. You will coordinate open houses, info sessions, and campus visits while guiding prospective and admitted students through the process.

You will manage Slate CRM workflows, collaborate with faculty and campus partners, and train the Business Student Ambassadors on outreach strategies and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Experience working with high school and/or college students and student groups.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Experience with office software, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Experience in special event and project planning.
• Ability to travel, including overnights, as needed.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Director to support all business recruitment and admissions efforts.
• Oversee all stages of the recruitment cycle: prospect, applicant, admit, enrolled.
• Coordinate external undergraduate recruitment and yield events and travel.
• Engage with students, parents, counselors, and teachers about programs.
• Represent the School at university events and open houses.
• Manage CRM activities, including visit registrations and email campaigns.
• Serve as co-advisor to recruit, train, and manage the Business Student Ambassadors.
• Collaborate with communications and marketing to produce materials and content.
