Rolls-Royce Power Systems in Novi, MI or Aiken, SC, is seeking a highly experienced Lead Casting Buyer to join our global procurement team. The role focuses on casting commodities, supplier management, cost analysis, and developing global sourcing strategies.

The candidate will negotiate contracts, manage external procurement through to series release, and drive cost improvements in casting materials and processes. Travel domestically and internationally is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business management, materials management, or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in strategic procurement with focus on casting commodities.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally and work flexible hours.

Responsabilités

• Manage supplier selection for casting commodities, including evaluating new suppliers, collecting and comparing offers, and making award decisions.
• Lead and document contract negotiations, including framework agreements addressing quality, capacity, cost reimbursements, and logistics.
• Oversee the complete external procurement process for cast components up to series production release.
• Perform detailed cost and price analyses for cast parts and support simultaneous engineering with suppliers.
• Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities specific to casting materials and processes.
