Job summary

Epiroc in Providence, UT is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design and develop industry-leading robotics software with a focus on scalability and performance. You will mentor junior engineers and lead complex system design using C# and .NET, including API development and messaging protocols.

The role offers a hybrid work model, collaboration across teams, and opportunities to optimize high-throughput systems and contribute to architectural decisions at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience with C# and .NET on large-scale applications.
• Expert in concurrent, multi-threaded, and asynchronous programming.
• Proven track record developing highly scalable APIs and 3rd-party integrations.
• Experience with Visual Studio and version control tools (Git, Bitbucket, GitHub).
• Strong knowledge of CI servers like TeamCity or Azure DevOps.
• Expert understanding of networking protocols for real-time distributed systems.
• Leadership skills to mentor peers and collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, high-performance applications using C# and .NET.
• Architect robust solutions and optimize concurrent and distributed modules.
• Develop scalable APIs and integrate 3rd-party services for enterprise use.
• Lead development with IDEs, profiling, and optimization efforts.
• Manage code with Git and repositories (Bitbucket/GitHub).
• Configure CI pipelines using TeamCity or Azure DevOps.
• Design networked components (TCP/UDP/WebSockets/HTTP) for distributed systems.
• Mentor Junior and Mid-Level Engineers and drive best practices.
