Job summary

Epiroc in Providence, UT is seeking a Senior Software Tester to lead validation efforts across multiple systems, design test strategies, and guide junior testers. This onsite role focuses on delivering high-quality releases and improving testing processes.

You will collaborate with engineering to refine requirements, develop comprehensive test plans, and ensure both functional and non-functional testing coverage. A technical degree and 5–10 years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (CS/CE/SE) or equivalent experience
• 5–10 years of software or system testing experience
• Strong knowledge of functional and non-functional testing methods
• Experience troubleshooting complex systems
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools
• Experience with testing concepts (black/white box, load, performance, scalability, integration, regression)
• Experience with CI/CD tooling
• Mentoring or leading small teams
• Exposure to data analysis or metrics-driven validation
• Familiarity with Atlassian products, JAMA, VS Code

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Lead validation efforts across multiple systems and environments
• Identify, document, and prioritize defects with detailed analysis
• Guide and mentor junior testers
• Collaborate with engineering to refine requirements and test coverage
• Perform root cause analysis on complex system issues
• Analyze system behavior and performance under different conditions
• Contribute to process improvements and test strategy development
• Configure, deploy and improve testing infrastructure and environments
