Job summary

Health Payment Systems, Inc. (HPS/PayMedix) is seeking a Staff Accountant in Milwaukee, WI. The role supports the Finance team with day-to-day accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, and member payment processing.

The successful candidate will maintain accurate records, analyze data, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. The position requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 2–4 years of experience, proficiency with GP or similar systems, and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2 - 4 years of Accounting or Finance experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Great Plains (GP) or similar accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate and timely account reconciliation.
• Performs accurate and timely journal entries.
• Provides monthly detail to the Accounting Manager for journal entries.
• Processes accurate and timely accounts payable documentation.
• Investigates and resolves accounts payable inquiries and problems.
• Input, compile, organize, manipulate and extract data.
• Prepare, monitor, and manage spreadsheets.
• Assist in preparation of budget and forecasts.
