Job summary

Health Payment Systems, Inc. (HPS/PayMedix) in Milwaukee, WI seeks a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team, handling day-to-day accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close support.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, 2–4 years of experience, and proficiency with Excel and GP or similar ERP systems. This hybrid role requires three onsite days weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2 - 4 years of Accounting or Finance experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Great Plains (GP) or similar accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate and timely account reconciliation.
• Performs accurate and timely journal entries.
• Maintains the fixed asset and associated depreciation schedules.
• Assists the Accounting Manager in tracking and maintaining company insurance policies.
• Assists in month-end close processes.
