Spring Health, a leading AI-native mental health company, seeks a Staff Accountant to support day-end operations, close processes, and financial reporting. This hybrid role requires in-office presence 1–2 days per month in NYC and occasional travel for team events.

You will collaborate with Accounts Payable, Payroll, FP&A, and business teams to ensure accurate data, implement process improvements, and uphold internal controls under US GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience in a high-growth environment.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and standard accounting principles.
• Familiarity with enterprise ERP systems (Netsuite a plus) and advanced spreadsheet proficiency.
• Demonstrated AI fluency and experience applying AI tools to increase speed and quality of work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, reclasses, and other recurring entries with documentation.
• Own assigned bank and balance sheet reconciliations; investigate discrepancies and resolve items.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Maintain general ledger schedules for cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, payroll, and other areas.
• Prepare balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analyses; explain material activity.
