Viking Cruises is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support key accounting and financial reporting activities in a hybrid role based in Woodland Hills, CA. You will manage GL accounts, prepare journal entries, assist month-end close, and help strengthen internal controls while partnering with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 2+ years of accounting experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and strong Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, IFSUM).

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar field.
• Proficient Excel with Pivot tables, VLOOKUP and IFSUM formulas.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to think independently and exercise judgment in day-to-day issues.
• Self-starter with problem-solving
• Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to adapt to accounting standards and company policies.

Aufgaben

• Prepaid Expenses – review prepaid accounts and amortization journal entries.
• Cash – review daily cash, maintain balances, journalize cash transactions and wires.
• Customer deposits – review GL and reclass revenue entries.
• Payables – maintain payable aging for refunds.
• Expense accruals – prepare monthly accrual schedules and entries.
• Intercompany items & transfer pricing – prepare reports for monthly pricing and entries across entities.
• Assist in preparing various monthly journal entries.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare supporting docs for audits.
• Prepare monthly and ad hoc reports for management.
• Maintain and improve internal controls.
