Addison Group in Midtown Manhattan, NY is seeking a Staff Accountant for a hybrid role offering a pay rate of $30-$40 per hour. The position supports day-to-day AR, collections, and billing activities, with duties spanning reconciliation, month-end close, and cross-functional collaboration.

The schedule is 40 hours per week with three in-office days. Ideal candidates have 2-3+ years in AR/credit, strong Excel skills, and experience with SAP.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• 2-3+ years of experience in accounts receivable, credit, collections, billing, customer service, or a related function.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience working with accounting or financial data.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounts receivable and credit activities, focusing on timely customer payments and reducing outstanding balances.
• Review aging reports and follow up with customers regarding past-due invoices, payment status, and outstanding issues.
• Coordinate with internal teams to research and resolve billing, pricing, invoice, and account discrepancies delaying payment.
• Perform customer outreach, including collection calls and ongoing communication regarding balances, payment arrangements, and inquiries.
