Qualifications

• 3–5 years of enterprise SQL Server database administration experience.
• Hands-on SQL Server management including Agent, backups, maintenance, and performance monitoring.
• Experience with high-availability solutions such as Failover Clustering and Always On AGs.
• Ability to troubleshoot common to moderately complex database issues.
• Exposure to AWS or Azure database services preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work with a small, distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and support SQL Server environments and configurations.
• Perform routine administration: backups/restores, index and statistics maintenance, DBCC checks, log management.
• Implement and maintain high-availability solutions including Failover Clustering and Always On AGs.
• Monitor database health and troubleshoot blocking, failed jobs, and performance issues.
• Diagnose and resolve moderate-complexity database issues and escalate architecture concerns as needed.
• Support disaster recovery activities and cloud platforms such as AWS RDS/Aurora and Azure SQL.
• Develop knowledge of Databricks, PostgreSQL, and MySQL; maintain configuration/runbooks/docs.
