Job summary

ICA Language Services is seeking an experienced Spanish Language Instructor for a hybrid role in Rosslyn, VA, with three days in-person and two days online. The course targets ILR 2 and NFATC-style assessments, with 25 hours per week and scheduling that includes morning sessions.

Under guidance of the Language Training Supervisor, you will plan, deliver, and adapt material, monitor progress, and provide monthly progress reports. Strong ILR familiarity and native-level Spanish are required.

Qualifications

• Must have experience teaching Spanish to adult learners in intensive settings.
• Experience teaching intermediate and advanced-level learners.
• Familiarity with ILR proficiency scale and NFATC/FSI testing protocols.
• Native or near-native Spanish proficiency; high English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver intensive Spanish instruction appropriate for ILR 2.
• Develop speaking, listening, and reading proficiency through communicative, task-based, and proficiency-oriented teaching.
• Develop and adapt instructional materials based on proficiency and objectives.
• Incorporate authentic materials to progress proficiency levels.
• Administer quizzes and activities to monitor progress.
• Provide feedback and recommendations for independent study.
• Align activities with ILR expectations and NFATC-style assessments.
