Job summary

ICA Language Services in Arlington, VA is seeking a Spanish language instructor for the NFATC. This is a full-time, hourly position at 40 hours per week, with a schedule of 7:30–4:15 and an hourly rate of $51.00.

Requirements include educated native or near-native Spanish, BA/BS or higher, 3+ years teaching adults in proficiency-based curricula, at least 1 year administering proficiency tests, and ILR level 2/2 in English. The candidate should have cultural knowledge of Spanish-speaking regions.

Qualifications

• Plan and conduct group and one-on-one foreign language classes to develop speaking, reading, and listening skills.
• Use provided training materials and collaborate with other instructors on program matters.

• Administer proficiency-based assessments and weekly quizzes to track progress.

Responsibilities

• Integrate culture and topics relevant to US Foreign Service Officers into lessons.
• Attend meetings with Training Manager and Supervisors as needed.
• Incorporate instructional technology into the teaching program.
• Perform teaching and administrative duties as assigned.
