Job summary

ICA Language Services seeks an experienced Spanish Language Instructor for in-person teaching at our Rosslyn facility. The role focuses on intensive language training to build listening, speaking, and reading proficiency, with sessions Mon–Thu 11:00 AM–4:30 PM and 20 hours per week.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's or Master's in Spanish/linguistics/education, at least two years of experience teaching adults in intensive settings, and familiarity with ILR/NFATC testing. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Spanish, linguistics, education, or a related field
• Minimum of two years of experience teaching Spanish to adult learners in an intensive setting
• Familiarity with the ILR proficiency scale and NFATC/FSI testing protocols

• Plan and deliver intensive Spanish language instruction designed to support progression from ILR 2 toward ILR 3
• Develop listening, speaking, and reading proficiency through communicative instruction

Job Location: Headquarters - Arlington, VA 22209, Position Type: Part Time, Education Level: Bachelor's Degree, Salary Range: $27.00 - $28.00 Hourly, Travel Percentage: None, Job Category: Education, ICA Language Services is seeking an experienced Spanish Language Instructor to provide in-person instruction at our facility in Rosslyn, VA. This position supports intensive Spanish language training focused on developing the student’s listening, speaking, and reading proficiency.

Date: 13 October 2026 - 29 January 2027

Location: Rosslyn, VA (in-person/on-site instruction)

Days: Monday–Thursday

Schedule: 11:00 AM–4:30 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break

Hours: 5 hours per day / 20 hours per week

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver intensive Spanish language instruction designed to support progression from ILR 2 toward ILR 3
• Develop the student’s listening, speaking, and reading proficiency through communicative and proficiency-oriented instruction
• Develop and adapt instructional materials based on the student’s proficiency level, learning needs, and course objectives
• Develop the student’s ability to discuss a broad range of professional, social, and current-event topics
• Administer practice assessments, quizzes, and other activities to monitor student progress
• Provide constructive feedback and support independent language study
• Incorporate activities and tasks aligned with ILR proficiency expectations and NFATC-style language assessment

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Spanish, linguistics, education, or a related field
• Minimum of two years of experience teaching Spanish to adult learners in an intensive setting
• Familiarity with the ILR proficiency scale and NFATC/FSI testing protocols
• Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills
• ILR 4 or higher proficiency in Spanish
• High proficiency in English sufficient for instruction and feedback
