Job summary

Piedmont Global seeks a Spanish Language and Cultural Instructor to deliver group classes at NFATC in Arlington, VA. You will use established materials, work with the LTS and instructors, assess progress, and maintain an online classroom.

The role requires ILR 4+ Spanish, strong cultural knowledge, and experience with hybrid teaching and proficiency-based assessments. This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Educated speaker of Spanish (preferably ILR 4 or higher).
• Hispanic culture or Spanish-world studies background.
• BA/BS, MA/MS, Ph.D., or foreign-equivalent degree(s).
• Minimum 3 years teaching Spanish to adult learners.
• Minimum 3 years teaching with proficiency-based or task-based curricula.
• At least 1 year administering proficiency-based assessments.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills and online meeting software.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct group Spanish language classes onsite at NFATC in Arlington, VA.
• Use established materials and collaborate with LTS and team on training/testing matters.
• Assess students’ progress and provide feedback; adapt teaching to learner needs.
• Conduct progress assessments to evaluate student progress.
• Provide a respectful, student-centered environment with constructive feedback.
• Maintain an online classroom environment via the Learning Management System.
