Job summary

GameChange Energy in Lakeland, FL is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to support the fleet of solar trackers. You will troubleshoot faults, monitor performance using Genius Tracker data, and assist in commissioning of new projects both remotely and on-site.

The role requires strong communication, engineering experience, and knowledge of TCP/IP/SSH, Modbus and networks. Hybrid work in Lakeland with competitive base pay and benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
2+ years engineering experience preferred; solar/renewables background preferred.
Strong English communication and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with networks and SCADA is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide remote support for Commissioning Technicians, SCADA, and O&M teams.
Monitor and remediate faults using Genius Tracker data.
Handle incoming RMA requests and resolve faults with customers.
Interface with Genius Tracker via SSH and TCP/IP Python scripts.
Configure tracker devices into customer VLANs for SCADA.
Verify tracker performance and document commissioning efforts.
Travel to sites to train technicians and accelerate timelines.
Collaborate with customers and report project status.
Assist QA/QC testing of new releases and provide feedback.
Communicate clearly in English, and instruct others on technical topics.
