Job summary

A software engineering manager role in Charlotte, NC, hybrid onsite 4x per week, overseeing an in-house ERP and related business apps. You will mentor two developers and an applications support specialist, set architecture, conduct code reviews, and drive testing and delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Required is leadership in a .NET/C# environment, strong Microsoft stack knowledge, and experience with SDLC, automated testing, and performance tuning across API, UI, and database layers.

Qualifications

• Experience leading in a .NET/C# environment.
• Proficient in UI, API, and databases within Microsoft stacks.
• Familiar with performance analysis and troubleshooting of API calls and queries.
• Strong SDLC fundamentals including design, documentation, testing and tooling.
• Hands-on experience with automated unit testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering team and set technical direction.
• Define and maintain architectural standards for internal applications.
• Guide code reviews and enforce coding standards.
• Oversee testing strategy, including automated tests and QA practices.
• Optimize performance across DB, API, and UI layers.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices.
• Identify tech debt and plan proactive enhancements.
• Collaborate with Product Owner to prioritize backlog and deliver work.
