Job summary

Cadre5 is seeking an experienced software engineer in a hybrid role based near Knoxville, TN. You will translate business requirements into robust technical solutions and drive architectural decisions within an Agile team.

You will mentor engineers, design multi-tier enterprise applications using C#/.NET, RESTful services, and ASP.NET MVC, and collaborate with architects, product owners, QA, and UX to deliver high-quality software with strong maintainability and security.

Qualifications

• This position requires 5+ years of applicable technical work experience with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership for software development, including design, code review, problem solving, and mentoring other engineers.
• Experience designing and maintaining large-scale, multi-tier enterprise applications.
• Experience developing software using C# and .NET, with familiarity in relational databases and SQL Server.
• Experience with Agile software development processes and collaborative teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into maintainable technical solutions.
• Develop technical designs and evaluate implementation alternatives and tradeoffs.
• Provide technical leadership within an Agile development team.
• Participate in estimation, refinement, planning, and delivery of Agile work.
• Design and implement complex application functionality across front-end, middle-tier, and database components.
• Review code and designs for quality, maintainability, security, and adherence to standards.
• Mentor software engineers and develop team technical capabilities.
• Diagnose complex application issues across multiple layers.
• Collaborate with architects, Product Owners, QA, UX designers, and other teams.
• Identify and advocate for improvements to architecture and development practices.
