Job summary

Procore Technologies is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing, globally distributed team within the Project Management group. You will mentor engineers, shape product roadmaps with Product and Design, and drive architectural decisions to keep our mission-critical tools scalable and reliable.

Based in Austin, TX, this hybrid role focuses on delivering high-value features while maintaining engineering excellence and strong collaboration with cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years as an Engineering Manager leading high-performing teams.
• 5+ years as a Software Engineer focused on scalable web-based services.
• Experience managing globally distributed software teams.
• Proficiency with SDLC and modern web development practices.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, TypeScript and React.
• Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• SaaS B2B experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of software engineers and support their growth and performance.
• Partner with Product and Design to define roadmaps and plan sprints.
• Contribute to architectural and system design decisions and uphold standards.
• Lead the SDLC journey and drive cross-team initiatives.
• Collaborate with other Engineering Managers for alignment.
• Drive engineering-led initiatives and maintain high quality and reliability.
• Ensure on-call responsiveness and timely issue resolution.
• Establish KPIs and SLOs and report operational performance.
