Job summary

McKesson is seeking a hands-on Software Developer (P3) in Richmond, VA for the B2B Commerce SupplyManager platform. You will own production support, ITIL processes, and drive operational excellence across AMS, SRE, and DevOps, while contributing to application development and release readiness.

The role covers full-stack responsibilities, including Java/Spring Boot microservices, React UI work when applicable, and cloud-native, hybrid cloud operations across Azure/GCP/AWS.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Strong experience in Java/Spring Boot/Microservices development.
• Proven expertise in DevOps, CI/CD, and release engineering.
• Advanced troubleshooting using logs, metrics and APM tools (e.g., Dynatrace).
• Experience with cloud-native / hybrid cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end ITIL processes: Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Service Request, Knowledge, CMDB, Capacity & Availability.
• Provide production support (P1/P2), troubleshoot, communicate with stakeholders, meet SLAs, and perform RCA.
• Perform production fixes, hotfix deployments, and small enhancements.
• QA validation (functional, regression, smoke) and assess impact on performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Maintain runbooks, SOPs, knowledge articles, and drive operational stability improvements.
• Lead problem management with data-driven analysis and long-term remediation.
