Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Aerospace Engineering (MSE or PhD).
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical design analysis and component integrity.
• Experience with ASME BPVC II/III/XI and nuclear codes.
• Proficient in ANSYS, LS-DYNA, SolidWorks; strong technical writing.

Responsibilities

• Manage activities within the SMR Mechanical department to meet quality and regulatory standards.
• Develop analysis plans to qualify mechanical components and licensing inputs with engineering leadership.
• Ensure compliance with ASME and nuclear codes; provide analytical guidance.
• Prepare briefs and deliverables: stress reports, calculations, and fitness-for-service evaluations.
• Review vendor reports for technical acceptance and regulatory compliance.
• Support regulator interactions and licensing activities; mentor engineers.
• Assist with recruiting efforts for the SMR Mechanical department.
