Job summary

Holtec International seeks a Thermal-Hydraulics Test Engineer III to lead major portions of test programs for the SMR-300 design certification and commercialization effort, coordinating with design, licensing, QA, and sponsors.

The candidate will develop test requirements, plans, procedures, data analysis methods, and technical reports to support design validation and regulatory engagement while mentoring junior engineers and improving test methods.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or closely related discipline.
• 6–10 years of relevant engineering experience in lab testing, thermal-hydraulics, nuclear systems, or test engineering environments.
• Experience planning, executing, and documenting engineering test programs.
• Experience interpreting drawings, P&IDs, system descriptions, and design specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead major portions of complex test programs across multiple projects.
• Develop test requirements, plans, procedures, specifications, and data analysis methods.
• Mentor junior engineers and improve test methods and tools.
• Ensure documentation quality and regulatory alignment.
