Fuss & O’Neill, Inc. in New Haven, CT is seeking an experienced Site Development Project Manager to lead site/civil engineering projects from concept through permitting and construction support.

The role combines client collaboration with internal teams on a variety of public and private projects. You will oversee technical design, manage schedules and budgets, mentor staff, and engage with municipalities and regulators to deliver high-quality projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering preferred.
• 8+ years of site/civil engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Experience with local and state permitting requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D required; HydroCAD preferred.
• Travel to client sites and attendance at town/city public meetings.

Responsibilities

• Managing site/civil engineering projects from initial scoping through design, permitting, and construction support
• Developing project scopes, contracts, schedules, and budgets
• Overseeing and mentoring engineering staff and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams
• Preparing and reviewing site designs including layout, grading, utilities, erosion & sediment control
• Designing stormwater management systems
• Coordinating with municipal staff and attending public meetings
• Participating in field meetings and site visits
• Assisting with report preparation and permit applications
• Supporting business development and maintaining client relationships
