Job summary

Fuss & O’Neill, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our growing Site/Civil team in Hartford, CT. The role focuses on land development and infrastructure projects, with collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to plan, design, and execute site/civil engineering work.

Ideal candidates bring 2-4 years of civil/site experience and an EIT, with PE preferred. The position is hybrid, balancing in-office collaboration with remote work to support project delivery and work‑life balance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 2-4 years of civil/site engineering experience.
• EIT registration required; PE strongly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with local and state permitting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed site/civil engineering design including: site layout, grading & drainage, utility design, stormwater management systems, erosion & sedimentation control plans.
• Prepare site plans and construction documents.
• Support permitting efforts and coordinate with local and state agencies.
• Perform occasional field work and site investigations.
• Collaborate with internal project teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
• Assist with project coordination, scheduling, and technical documentation.
