Job summary

Fuss & O’Neill, a Civil & Survey team, seeks a Site Development Project Manager in Providence, RI. This hybrid role supports design through permitting and construction, overseeing multidisciplinary teams and client coordination.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering background with 8+ years’ experience, strong site design skills, and is comfortable leading budgets and schedules. RHODE ISLAND PE license is preferred; remote work options are available with generous PTO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering preferred.
• 8+ years of site/civil engineering experience with strong site design.
• Licensed PE preferred; experience with permitting.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, QA/QC and staff oversight.

Responsibilities

• Managing site/civil engineering projects from scoping through design, permitting, and construction support.
• Developing project scopes, contracts, schedules, and budgets.
• Overseeing and mentoring engineering staff and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.
• Preparing and reviewing site designs including layout, grading, utilities, erosion & sediment control, and site details.
• Designing stormwater management systems.
• Coordinating with municipal staff and attending public meetings.
• Participating in field meetings and site visits.
• Assisting with report preparation and permit applications.
• Supporting business development and client relationships.
