Job summary

Fuss & O’Neill, Inc. in New Haven, CT, is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Site/Civil team. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on land development and infrastructure projects, contributing to planning, design, and execution.

Ideal candidates have a Civil Engineering degree, 2–4 years of relevant experience, EIT, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; StormCAD/HydroCAD is a plus. This hybrid role offers flexible schedules and strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 2–4 years of civil/site engineering experience.
• EIT registration required; PE strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; experience with StormCAD/HydroCAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed site/civil engineering design including site layout, grading & drainage, utility design, stormwater management systems, erosion & sedimentation control plans
• Prepare site plans and construction documents
• Support permitting efforts and coordinate with local and state agencies
• Perform occasional field work and site investigations
• Collaborate with internal project teams to deliver high‑quality technical solutions
• Assist with project coordination, scheduling, and technical documentation
