Job summary

Blue Origin in Huntsville, AL seeks a hybrid Shipping/Receiving Technician to manage dock operations and hands‑on material prep. You will unload inbound shipments, prepare stock, and support production on the floor with material handling and shipping fixtures.

You will work with forklifts, overhead cranes, and ERP/MRP systems, ensuring traceability and quality control while coordinating with Planning and Quality teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of combined hands-on shipping/receiving, warehouse, or material handling and technician experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Forklift experience loading/unloading trucks at dock and staging areas; site forklift certification.
• Proficiency with common hand and power tools.
• Ability to operate pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and overhead cranes; basic rigging.
• Experience with ERP/MRP or warehouse management systems; standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound shipments, unload with forklift, verify quantities and part numbers against PO and packing list.
• Prepare and stage material, maintain traceability of heat/lot markings; document discrepancies.
• Package, crate, and ship hardware; stage outbound shipments and manage packing lists and carrier paperwork.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and assist with facility moves and storage reconfiguration.
• Collaborate with Quality, Planning, and Procurement to minimize schedule impact.
