Job summary

Blue Origin in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a detail-oriented material control technician to support the Jemison Tube Shop. You will expedit e material flow, maintain shop organization, and ensure inventory of tube stock and fittings to keep production on schedule.

You will work with Production Control, Suppliers, and Warehouse to monitor demand, pull and stage materials, and perform cycle counts while maintaining safety and 5S standards on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work on a production floor and verify materials across multiple work centers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain real-time awareness of hardware, raw material, and fittings locations and readiness.
• Identify at-risk or missing materials before they affect the build schedule.
• Coordinate with Production Control to monitor demand, kit work orders, and movement between centers, suppliers, and warehouse.
• Track incoming material and fittings with suppliers and warehouse; expedite orders as needed.
• Pull, stage, and deliver material to work centers per work orders.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory records.
• Assemble/disassemble shop equipment and perform general housekeeping to support 5S.
